In the event that you have lost/forgotten your SD shell/email password, you can go to the Password Reset form to have it reset. Be aware that this will require a $0.01 donation, and the email associated with your PayPal account needs to be the same one that it was when you originally joined. Please note that we will only send your password to that email address which you registered with us.

To prevent lost passwords, you can:

• use the "passwd" utility to change your password to something easier to remember
• set up SSH Key Authentication to access your account without a password, or with a very simple one

Forum

If you have forgotten your Forum password, simply put in your username and no password, and try to log in. At the top of the next screen, you will see

Login failed: Wrong password. Request new password

Click that link and a new password will be mailed to whatever email address your wiki account is associates with (by default, your silenceisdefeat.org email address). See Email for more info. If you have forgotten that password, see above.

Wiki

If you forget your wiki password, type in your username and hit the "E-mail password" button. The next screen will tell you an email has been sent to whatever email address your wiki account is associates with (by default, your silenceisdefeat.org email address). See Email for more info.
